Hallway and landing design scheme

Lincolnshire

This home’s stunning period features set the tone for a scheme that feels both classic and welcoming.

I introduced panelling to the lower walls and paired it with a beautiful Sanderson wallpaper above, adding depth and character. Layered details—lighting, artwork, furniture, window dressings, and a Roger Oates stair runner—bring the space together and create a sense of warmth from the moment you step inside.

The look flows effortlessly into the reception porch, where a storage bench adds practicality and a mirror helps bounce light around the space. Wood-effect floor tiles were chosen for their durability and compatibility with underfloor heating, making them as practical as they are stylish.

Now, the space feels warm, inviting, and perfectly sets the tone for the rest of the home.

"The part of the design I love most is the hall, staircase and landing. Rebecca suggested Sanderson’s Farthing Wood wallpaper, with its subtle gold detailing that beautifully reflects the light in what was previously quite a dark space, along with paneling and a Roger Oates stair runner. The result feels elegant, warm and completely transformed.." - Chris
