Kitchen and dining space

Lincolnshire

The kitchen already had fantastic foundations, with solid wood, hand-painted cabinetry and high-quality appliances, but it needed a more contemporary feel. Thoughtful, minimal changes made a significant impact—adding doors to the island’s open shelving and replacing glass cabinet fronts with solid ones instantly reduced visual clutter and created a calmer, more cohesive look. The splashback was updated with a beautiful pearlescent tile, which subtly reflects light and adds depth and elegance to the space.

Drawing inspiration from existing artwork, I refreshed the overall colour palette, introducing new Roman blinds and dining seat pads to tie everything together.

In the adjoining living area, the sofa and armchair were reupholstered to complement the updated scheme, while a new coffee table and bespoke alcove shelving added both function and character. Updated lighting and side tables enhanced the overall ambiance, and a carefully placed rug helped to define the seating area, creating a warm and inviting retreat. A larger mirror was introduced to reflect the client’s stunning garden, while carefully selected accessories provided the perfect finishing touches.
